We were so happy that Kirsty was up for turning two of her original artworks into muslin designs. We first worked with her for The Motherhood Prints back in 2020 and loved getting to know her. And you loved her prints celebrating motherhood! I can't say we were surprised, there was something beautiful, raw and intriguing about them, which clearly captivated a lot of people.
Celebrating women through art
It's impossible not to love Kirsty's artwork. Those bold and colourful brush strokes and depictions of the female form. We love her whole ethos and her goal to...
"Celebrate the female form and what it represents through bold, stripped-down renderings of women in their most natural elements".
I've got to share this with you too - how she describes the female spirit. It's both powerful and poetic at the same time...
"The female form is a powerful manifestation of the female spirit. Resilience, vitality and the unwavering strength that allows for both authority and vulnerability abound in each bend and curve. Every tilt of the head, arch of the back and twist of the torso contributes to a larger narrative".
Introducing two muslins designed by Kirsty
Kirsty created two striking designs for our first muslin collection, called Clementines and Japanese Flowers. Based on original art, they make for such unique muslins.
And, the perfect coincidence, we've got an offer running for two muslins for £42.00 and free shipping. Saves you about £6 so a nice little deal there. Take a look at the whole collection here.
Since we started working together Kirsty became a new mum herself, making for a pretty special collaboration. We were so excited to send her her Clementines and Japanese Flowers muslins for her own newborn! She loved that her baby was "wrapped up in these wonderful, strong and bold colours".
Psst, animal artworks perfect for your newborn
In her same distinctive style she has created some exceptionally lovely animal artworks you may have spotted on her Instagram - perfect for a baby's nursery (the elephant has to be a personal favourite). Just in case you're getting your baby's room ready (you'll love them just as much as the rest of her work)!
