A muslin designed to be shown off to the world!
Each design is created exclusively for NINA by an independent British artist, then woven into certified organic cotton muslin. This muslin fabric is exceptionally breathable, grows softer with every wash, and is gentle enough to use from day one. The muslins are large enough to swaddle your baby, light enough to use as a pram shade, and beautiful enough to drape over a nursing chair. Because every muslin design is created by an artist, no two collections that we release are identical. Only on a few occasions will we produce the design again. Which means that when a print is gone, it’s gone.
Machine wash low and tumble dry low (if you can hang the muslin blankets out to dry that's always best).

About the design
Created by artist Imo Sinclair, the 'Bauhaus Play' muslin is bold and joyful, inspired by colour, shape and the playful spirit of Bauhaus. As Imo herself said:
"This design is inspired by colour and play, which for me are two things essential to life, from childhood to adulthood. I hope to always celebrate and explore colour and play through my work."
The 'Bauhaus Play' muslin brings together circles, arches, checks, stripes and geometric forms in a bright, retro-inspired palette of blue, red, yellow and soft green. The shapes are fun and full of movement, encouraging a sense of creativity, curiosity and play. A joyful and design-led print, Bauhaus Play brings an artistic touch to an everyday essential. Perfect for little makers, mini modernists and lovers of colour.
These muslins are extra large, you'll notice the difference!
At 110cm x 110cm in size, they are extra large muslins meaning extra useful.
A parenting essential, ideal for swaddling, mopping up spills, breastfeeding, a little extra warmth in the buggy, or even acting as a sunshade.
Our large muslins are made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton by Chaitanya and his team in Northern India. All dyes are Oeko-Tex certified so have been tested to be safe and free from harmful chemicals.
By choosing organic cotton you’re making a good choice all round. It’s better for the environment since only natural processes are used to grow the cotton (e.g. ladybirds help to control pests rather than pesticides). No harmful chemicals (from pesticides or fertilizers) seep into waterways or degrade the soil. And less water is used compared to conventional cotton.
The GOTS certification also covers social standards like decent working hours and no child labour (which has shockingly been an issue in lots of cotton-growing areas around the world).
While a muslin blanket feels a world away from farmers’ fields, by choosing organic cotton you are helping to create a healthier environment for all those who make our products and for our future planet.

Wash at 40 degrees, or cooler if you can. We recommend not tumble drying. Let it hang free and dry this way instead.
